Mission
Creating a student friendly environment in forming and developing the language skills. Creating an ambience to know, acquire and appreciate the values of human virtues, ethics and personality that are rooted in Tamil Literature. Creating and enkindling Social Consciousness and Social Change through debates, work - shops, seminars and conferences. Structuring the syllabi in such a way that the students acquire employable skills for higher placements.

»	'Bhuthan Virunthu' an innovative programe conducted on all 'D' day orders promoting and debating the latest, relevant and necessary themes and ideas on current topics of social importance by stalwarts.
»	SARAL, an inter departmental annual drama competition promoting theatrical and Tamil language skills among the students.
»	Available for guest lectures and programmes in college extension activities (ARICE).
»	Guiding and counseling and training students who opt to become public speakers.
»	Preparing students irrespective of departments for intra and inter departmental and inter collegiate programmes.
