Programme Specific Outcomes
At the end of the course the student of English Language and Literature will be able to:
»  Analyze the fundamental Social, Economic, Political and Religious institutions existed in India through the ages.
»  Acquire administrative and exhibit managerial skills, problem solving skills, critical thinking and reflective thinking to receive placements in any companies, firms and managerial positions.
»  Develop the skills needed to pursue competitive examination which enhances the job opportunities.
»  Develop the knowledge of the administrative system of various countries, governments and Public Administration which make the students to be social responsible citizen of India.

During the academic year 2019-2020, the department was upgraded as a PG department because of the strenuous efforts of the then Head, Rev. Dr. S. Paul Pragash SJ. At present, there are more than 300 students pursuing their BA Programme and 30 students for their MA Programme. The department enjoys an excellent academic record with a team of 15 highly dedicated staff members. The department organizes various activities, such as Inter-Collegiate Competitions, Conferences, Workshops, Guest Lectures.
