I. Tuition Fees
Tuition fees exempted for UG Aided Courses (BA / BSc) (vide Proc.
of the DCE, Chennai Na.Ka.No. 4860 / L3 / 2007 dated 24.05.2007
and 31.05.2007).
II. Fee Concession
a. All SC / ST students & converted SC Christian students are
eligible for full fee concession. No income limit is prescribed
for them.
b. Educational concessions to the children of Government
servants dying in harness (Tuition fee & Special fee)
c. Educational concessions to the children of Ex-servicemen
and serving defence personnel.
III. Free Education Scholarships
a. All the SC/ST and converted SC Christian students are
eligible for Free Education Scholarships. No income limit
for the parent is prescribed.
b. All the students from the Most Backward Classes and the
Denotified Communities studying (upto Degree level) are
eligible for Free Education Scholarships. No income limit
for the parent is prescribed.
c. If the Backward Class candidate is the first graduate of the
family, he/she is eligible for Free Education Scholarships,
provided the income of the parent does not exceed Rs
1,00,000/- per annum.
IV. Backward Class Scholarships
All the BC/MBC/DNC students (studying UG and PG courses)
are eligible for BC scholarship. For BC students, the limit for the
income of the parent is Rs 50,000/- . For MBC/DNC students
there is no such income limit.
V. SC / ST & Converted SCChristian Students Scholarships
a. Government of India Scholarship
For all the Hindu SC/ST students:
The income limit for the parent is Rs. 2,50,000/-
b. State Government Scholarship
For all the Christian SC/ST students:
The income limit for the parent is Rs. 2,00,000/-
c. Adi-Dravidar Higher Education Special Scholarship
For the SC/ST Converted Christian students in the Hostel,
on the basis of marks on previous year of study (above
50%).
The income limit for the parent is Rs 2,00,000/-.
d. Adhoc Merit Grant
For the First UG SC/ST Converted Christian students

who have got 60% of marks in the Higher Secondary
Examination.
e. Bright Students Award & Merit-cum-Means Award
The SC/ST Converted Christian students who have scored
the highest marks in the district level in the SSLC and
Higher Secondary Examinations
f. Award of Prize Money
The SC/ST UG & PG students with I class in their first
attempts in all semesters are eligible for the Prize Money
Award.
V. National Loan Scholarship (Loans Repayable)
All students are eligible,
- irrespective of caste, who have scored more than 50% in
the SSLC and Higher Secondary Examinations
- Income of the Parents not exceeding Rs 1,00,000/- per year
- Not in receipt of any other scholarship
VI. National Merit Scholarship
All students are eligible,
- irrespective of caste, who have scored more than 60% in
the SSLC and Higher Secondary Examinations
- Income of the Parents not exceeding Rs 1,00,000/- per year
- Not in receipt of any other scholarship
VII. Other Scholarships
i. Scholarship for the Children of School Teachers
- School teacher’s children with more than 60% marks and
above in the Higher Secondary Examinations.
- Income of the Parents not exceeding Rs 1,00,000/- per
year
- For PG courses, there is no income limit for the parents.

ii. Tamil Nadu Educational Trust Scholarship
All First year UG and PG students
- who have scored more than 60% marks in the qualifying
examinations.
- Income of the Parents not exceeding Rs 1,00,000/- per year.
- Not in receipt of any other scholarship
iii. State Collegiate Scholarship
All the students are eligible,
Income of the Parents not exceeding Rs 25,000/- per annum.
iv. Scholarship irrespective of Caste / Income etc
- for the Physically Handicapped
- for the children of Ex-service men
- to the children of the Indian Seamen
- Government of India Sports Talent Scholarship
v. E V R Nagammai Memorial PG Girls Students Scholarship
All PG Girl students are eligible,
- Parent’s Income should not exceed Rs 1,00,000/- per
year
- Not in receipt of any other scholarship
vi. Uzhavar Scholarship
All UG and PG students are eligible,
- With the Uzhavar Identity Card issued by the TN Govt
- There is no income limit for the parents
- Not in receipt of any other scholarship
Student Aid Fund
The Student Aid Fund (a maximum of Rs 300/-) is given to the economically weaker students, irrespective of caste or creed, selected by a committee with Fr Principal as its Chairman - to 96 Arul Anandar College
meet the educational expenses such as, tuition, special and examination fee. Students should not have any adverse remarks on them.
Notification regarding the availability of the fund shall be made at the beginning of every year. Application shall ordinarily be accepted up to 31st August.
