Based on the curriculum feedback collected from the major stakeholders, the Department of Human Excellence, established in the year 2019, includes four different Units, namely, Foundation Courses, Soft Skills, Communication Skills, and Life Skills. The Department lays special focus on promoting personality and skills development of the students towards sustainability in their personal and social life. Majority of the students are first generation learners and also, they belong to socially and economically backward classes. In order to enlighten and to initiate personal and societal transformation, the Department introduced courses on Foundational Values, Personality and Skills development for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, which provide a platform for enhancing the students’ holistic development.
The credentials given to these courses with their content, methods of teaching and learning, outcome-based evaluation pattern are added features to the Department. The inclusive curriculum not only facilitates the acquisition of disciplinary knowledge but also provides opportunity for the holistic growth of the students with the inculcation of the values and skills essential for personal and social life sustainability. These courses also contribute the overall personality development of the student community by boosting their confidence and stamina to face this competitive world. These courses enable the rural student community to establish strong roots and make their marks at global level.
