The Department of Mathematics annually organizes conference on Recent Advances in Pure and Applied Mathematics at international /national level. These conferences are intended to illuminate the minds of the learners and to make them travel beyond the pages of the book to comprehend the applications of the theoretical concepts of Mathematics. The invited speakers are from various reputed institutions across the nation. The international conference organized in the year 2019 is an added feather to department's hat. The resource person was Dr.Petri.T.Piiroinen, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Statistics and Applied Mathematics, National University of Ireland, Galway Ireland. The conference was made a suitable platform for the budding researchers to share their ideas and to get valuable suggestions from the experts. A MOU is signed with IFERP for publishing the conference articles SCOPUS and UGC CARE list journals to propagate research at global level.

MATAAC is an intercollegiate competition annually organized by the Department of Mathematics to cater vibrant opportunities to the students of mathematics. This event is a math feast to the students. The students from other colleges actively participate in all the math events such as Quiz, Dumb Charade, Math Rangoli, Modelling, Beautiful mind, Paper Presentation, As U like it. A overall rolling trophy will be awarded for the first and second winners of this prodigious Math Competition.

Competency is now becoming the essential trait of the person and it is very much needed to be inculcated to the student community and the staff for empowering the institution as the whole. In accordance to it the department of mathematics has organized workshops on Mathematical Skills, Preparing for UGC - NET / SET Exams. These workshops are periodically organized to enrich the mathematical ability of the students and to prepare them to compete in this competitive world.

The Department of Mathematics meticulously organizes many association activities in every academic year for supporting the academic needs of the learners. To motivate the student community and to impart wide knowledge of mathematical concepts, renowned speakers from other educational institutions are invited to render guest lectures on life skills, Strategies to excel in competitive examinations and on other interesting topics on mathematics. The department also organizes orientation programme to the students of first under and post graduate to make them know the culture of the college.

The Department of Mathematics has been organizing many events for each academic year to promote the mathematical skills among students. In accordance to it for this academic year a new mathematical club entitled as "Mathematical Club" has been started on 30th August 2016. This club is initiated as a step to make the students shine with the acquisition of mathematical competency. To present the manifestation of Mathematical concepts in a varied dimension for creating interest among the students towards the subject, the club organizes several programmes at intradepartmental level to foster team spirit, leadership and competitive skills amidst the students. The activities pave way for self-regulated learning as it is organized by the students for the students with active participation.
