National Cadet Corps (NCC)

Among the several wings in NCC, ACC has only Army. (The other NCC wing are: Navy, Airwing, Armoured Squadron etc). Our Army unit is called 7/14 Arul Anandar College and is attached to 14(TN) BN NCC, Dindigul. NCC provides opportunities to participate at several types of camps including the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. A maximum of 120 students draw from the three years, serve as members of our NCC unit. At every year around 40 first year student may get enrolled into NCC. An NCC student may be a part of the NCC programmes for a maximum period of three years. He/She can participate at the B-Certificate Examination at the end of the second year and can participate at the C-Certificate Examination at the end of the third year.

The National Cadet Corps came into being on July 16, 1948 with the promulgation of the NCC Act XXXI of 1948. NCC is place under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
»   To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country.
»   To create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and always be available for the service of the nation.

»   A cadet holding NCC "B" or "C" certificate can aspire to be enrolled in uniformed posts by Public Service Commission.
