About the Department

The Department of Commerce with Computer Applications is one of the pioneers offering B.Com with Computer Applications in the Madurai Kamaraj University since the academic year 1999. The Department was made Co-educational Department along with the other departments in the College. The overwhelming demand from the stakeholders paved way for introducing one more section from the academic year 2008-09.

The Department has been updating the syllabi at regular intervals relevant to the current scenario. The Department is well equipped with a good computer lab with LCD and Audio Visual Facilities. The Department is continuously moving ahead towards its vision and mission. It aims to inculcate skills in students which would motivate them to pursue their higher education in the field of Commerce and Computer Applications and to become professionals like Cost Accountants, Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries and Business Executives and Entrepreneur in any field.
